English for Business: Reinventing the Case and Project-Based Learning is a textbook that reflects the 21st-century learning approach and provides students with the language skills necessary to thrive in the modern business world. It incorporates the principles of case-based learning and project-based learning to equip students with practical skills that can be applied in real-life business scenarios.
Designed for undergraduate students who need to learn English in a business context, this book consists of eight units entitled Application Letters, Job Interview, Inquiry Letters, Product Description, Complaint Letters, Handling Complaints, Business Report, and Business Meeting. These units are developed based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) at the B level, which corresponds to the intermediate level. The materials and activities are arranged according to Bloom's Taxonomy to ensure that the levels of difficulty are well-graded, starting from the simplest to the most challenging. The activities and tasks are designed to align with case-based learning and project-based learning to ensure active engagement, foster retention of knowledge and skills, and promote mastery of 21st-century skills.
By the end of the learning process, students are expected to be able to use English effectively in various business contexts, demonstrating a well-structured format, clear and precise content, and appropriate language structures and vocabulary use.
