Pertimbangan apa pun mengenai negara atau kerajaan di Asia Tenggara tidak akan lengkap jika tidak menyebut betapa pentingnya benda pusaka keramat. Benda pusaka keramat ini di antaranya memiliki makna kosmologis, sementara yang&nbsp; lainnya memiliki kekuatan magis. Sifat keramat&nbsp; benda pusaka ini lebih ditekankan lagi di Semenanjung Melaya dan Indonesia.
