Kintamani Bali Dog (KBD) is a book on kintamani bali dogs (AKB) written in English. The
book includes history and significance of AKB; how to select, take care and train AKB; and
the journey to world recognition as one of Indonesia’s dog breeds.
KBD consists of four chapters. The first chapter elaborates geographical, socio-historical
and biological contexts of AKB in Bali. The second chapter revolves around the long journey
that AKB supporters have to take in order for AKB to gain FCI recognition as an Indonesian
dog breed. The third chapter provides information for anyone interested in selecting and
keeping the purebred AKB as pet dogs. The detailed and vivid description of AKB’ physical
features, development stages and a number of personal stories of AKB and their owners
will be presented. Chapter four presents some profiles of the most talented AKB in dog
shows.
KBD is illustrated with full-color, well-structured photographs to draw readers’ attention.
The book is also written in popular, easy-to-digest language.
